An important aspect of competent management is that the
resource of the work force is used to the full. Indeed
it is a requirement under Health & Safety legislation (PUWER 1998, Reg
9) that management has had adequate training for the safe use of
equipment. With respect to lift trucks it means that
a managers request should never put the
operators in a compromising or risky position. The only way to
know that this will not happen is for supervisors/managers to be aware
of the capabilities of the Lift Trucks that are operated in your work place.
You will already have Health & Safety policies in place that reflect your safe working practices and procedures.
These must also be reflected in the
understanding of your workforce.
TTT ltd provides a ½
day course that will be informative and thought provoking in Health and
Safety issues. It will also cover the basic principals of lift truck operation. TTT
ltd will also provide
a back up service to the firm and its supervisors for all future enquiries regarding Lift Trucks either
through these pages or just pick up the phone.

Success of these style of courses relies on the "home
work prior" to our arrival so we will require to know a bit about your
operation or you will have to be very clear exactly what you wish us to
re-enforce. Generally we take into account all the different types of Lift
truck operated on the factory floor.
All attendees receive a certificate of attendance. This
is a valid level and can be put towards an NVQ if required. |
