*Counterbalance* Driving 3 Day Course (Smi-Exp) Semi-Experienced is for a candidate that has sat on a lift truck and possibly operated it for a period of time. They may also be able to operate a different type of lift truck from previous training. A course for a semi-experienced operator is normally 3 Days in length. With no formal training but "the ability to drive the truck " an operator needs to appreciate and understand safe working practices with regard to the operation of the truck. Any employer also has to be sure of the skill of the employee and then give formal permission, as suggested by the HSE This course covers all aspects of safety and the instructors try to give a real flavour of working in industry. Counterbalance Driving 5 Day Course (Novice) With no skill the Novice needs to have time to both absorb the theory and then acquire safe handling ability of the lift truck. Gain confidence in his ability and new found skills. Appreciate the Health and Safety side of his new found working environment on a lift truck.
