Counterbalance Truck Driving B2
Basic 3 Day Course / 1 Day Conversion

DRIVING FOR Semi-.Experienced Operators or Holding a B1 certificate

With no formal training but the ability to handle the truck these operators need to appreciate and understand safe working practices with regard to the operation of the truck. Additionally you may also hold a certificate for a smaller category of truck. ( see our Category page or down load as a pdf ) In this case it is a matter of getting familiar with the size difference.. This is usually a 1 day conversion course for candidates that have had 6 months previous experience at the lower category. The employer also has to be sure of the skill of the employee and then give formal permission, as required by the HSE. This course covers all aspects and brings both the employer and employee up to the highest standards. This is the most popular of our courses. All this is done to the ITSSAR standard of training.

DRIVING FOR THE NOVICE with or without previous experience

With no skill and a higher entry level (By weight above 5tonne) than the B1 ( Below 5Tonne) the novice needs to have time to both absorb the safety theory and then acquire a safe handling ability of the lift truck. He needs to be able to gain confidence in his ability, and use his new found skills. Find and fully appreciate the Health and Safety side of the working environment on an even larger than the norm lift truck. Accredited training will be given to achieve this to the ITSSAR standard courses are set as follows.
